Welcome to the website of
The Clyde River and Batemans Bay Historical Society
This page contains links to organisations which support their local community in a similar way to the Batemans Bay Heritage Museum. The organisations have been categorised, to assist visitors to our website in accessing their preferred link. Further assistance is given by also providing a short description of the organisation.
Please note that this page is still evolving, particularly in relation to the list of NSW Museums outside the Eurobodalla/Bega Valley/Palerang region. Some of our neighbouring museums are currently in the process of re/building their websites and will be included in our links as soon as they become known to us.
The Batemans Bay Heritage Museum is taking this initiative, as part of a collaborative approach towards sharing information with like-minded organisations.
(The photographs show a donated demountable (from Telstra) being lifted over the Heritage (Old Courthouse) Museum roof in early 2013, and an early scene of Beach Road when Perry's Mill was the major employer in the Bay)
The Australian Red Cross helps tens of millions of people around the world each year and cares for local communities in Australia and Asia Pacific. In August 2014, the Australian Red Cross will celebrate its centenary and, as part of its celebrations, will be creating a centenary story collection website. This will allow the many thousands of people who have helped and been helped by the Red Cross to upload photographs, text, audio and video recollections directly to the site. These stories will form the heart of the centenary website, when it is launched in 2014. The following link will direct you to the Centenary page of the Australian Red Cross website.
