Welcome to the website of
The Clyde River and Batemans Bay Historical Society
Educational Program and Group Visits
Museum Visits
Guided visits can be organised both during and outside normal opening hours. There is currently a student charge of $3.00 per head.
Schools Outreach Program
The Society offers a large range of Outreach opportunities to match the NSW Schools curriculum, eg Transport and Communication, Old School Days, Long Ago - Toys and Games. Fee structure: There is a set fee of $50 for an external visit, plus $2 per head for each child.
Speakers present a slide show, then assist teachers in supervising students as they experience the use of artefacts which put the story in context, eg pre-electricity, hand-made, pre-computer etc., together with hand-outs for out-of-school activities.
Behind every door there is a story itching to get out!
Thankyou letters from Year1 pupils at St. Bernards School after a recent Museum visit.
Enjoying the Children's Area in the museum.
